Unlike insurance, our wellness plans are designed to include the preventative care services that are recommended over the course of the year, including checkups and vaccines. They also include an in-hospital credit. While insurance is used to reimburse you for the treatment of unexpected illness and injury, our wellness plans are designed to make routine care accessible and affordable.

Wellness plans are subscription-based plans that enable you to budget for your pet’s routine care expenses via a monthly premium.

What is PetCentric Health?

PetCentric Health allows pet parents to spread out the cost of their pet’s care through a monthly subscription offering. Each plan is designed and customized by Hiawassee Veterinary Hospital and includes our recommendations for healthcare best practices. This ensures pets receive a solid foundation of preventative care to increase the likelihood of better health outcomes over the course of their lifetime. It also allows pet owners better financial control and predictability.

What do wellness plans cover?

Hiawassee Veterinary Hospital offers feline (kitten, adult, and senior) and canine (puppy, adult, and senior) plans, encompassing all your pet’s annual preventative care needs, as well as an in-hospital credit, which we call our Pet Flexible Spend Allowance. This credit is designed to cover additional needs that may arise, such as sick visits, dental cleanings, and more. If you don’t use your FSA during your plan year, 75% of the unused balance rolls over to the next plan year.
